The Bauhausthough it moved from place to place while an active schoolhas a permanent home for its archive in Berlin. Visitors can take in exhibitions or study materials from the archive in the library. The archive building was designed by Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius himself in 1964, though it was originally intended for another sitein Darmstadt. It was erectedwith some alterationsin Berlin between 1971 and 1978. |
