This young fellow, a new projectionist, and I were being photographed in the projection booth at the art museum where we worked. I'm holding the reel and thinking, 'God, please, let this guy work out for at least a little while.' We had gone through a string of projectionist failures and it was so hard to find someone who wasn't a dope addict, could show up on time, and had the presence of mind to really do a good job. As it turned out, he turned into a fine projectionist and a fine young man.
