A Message from the President

Ladies and Gentlmen, start your figurative, alternative fuel-fed, engines! The 2008 shuffleboard season is upon us!

At a time in which our nation remains at war for oil, gas prices are pushing $4 a gallon, and we're still not paying the "real" cost, shuffleboard is one of the most green -- and patriotic -- activities one can undertake. With a carbon footprint of near-zero, it's way more effective than a magnetic ribbon stuck to the backsides of our energy-draining motorized vehicles, in saying, "We support our troops! Bring them home, where they're welcome to join us every Monday night from 7 to 9 PM!" (or something to that effect).

Whether you were able to attend the knuckle-biting state tournament or not, here's the official listing of last year's outcome:

Incidentally, the final match couldn't have been more exciting. Jim fell behind by over 60 points, but still came back to win -- three-peat, in fact. Congratulations one and all. See you in May!
