french artist yves klein (1928 - 1962) developed, named, and worked extensively with international klein blue—a color not unlike that of the text you're reading (hex triplet #0066cc). klein used his pigment in things like the solid color field painting above as well as performances in which naked models got all slicked up, then rolled on canvases.
