minnehaha falls waterfalls in general are powerful things, and they have a way of making you feel good when you get near them. some say this is because of the negative ions they give off. (counter-intuitively negative ions make people feel positive). the new england poet, henry wadsworth longfellow, gave this waterfall national fame, but he himself never saw the 53-foot falls he wrote of in the 19th century. |
