It was 1991. I was 3 x 10 years old. I was on the Charles Bridge in Prague. A woman wearing a blue-green jacket was motioning for people to get down below the bridge wall so the TV camera on the bank of the river would have a clear shot of her. Upon investigation, I realized it was Leslie Stahl from 60 Minutes, a program known for its ambush interview tactics. To turn the tables on her, I approached her with my camera and audio recorder and inquired, "Ms. Stahl, could I ask what you're doing here?" She replied, "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....no." |
